s.t.e.a.m. focused programs:

project one piece a day (k-12th)

is a S.T.E.A.M. based citizens science project that encourages students in a classroom setting to pick up and document at least one piece of litter per day for 3 weeks and incorporates cyanotype art expression.

building watersheds (3rd-5th)

In this lesson, students will learn about watersheds by making a model and watching how water moves through it. They'll identify watershed parts and consider how they work together. Then, they'll make their own watershed model and think about how it connects to the local water cycle.

social-emotional focused programs:

leadership on the lawn (5th - 8th)

our new program is for students in 5th through 12th grade and adults. It includes a series of challenges for small groups of about 15 people to complete together. the program focuses on developing leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. it creates an inclusive and enjoyable environment for participants to learn and bond with their community, and helps teachers and administrators build a positive learning setting.


exploration hike (4th - 8th)

join our 3-4 hour guided outdoor exploration hike to discover natural wonders, learn about ecosystems, and enjoy an educational and exciting experience in nature.

art focused programs:

paper making & junk journals:

• this lesson involves creating handmade journals, postcards and paper out of used paper collected from the school. This lesson emphasizes the reusability in the items around us we deem as trash. it also offers an opportunity to document and think critically about the quantity of paper being utilized by the classroom or school.
